TOOL

Stake.us withdrawal note: Transactions from Stake.us are not RBF-enabled by default.
RBF only works on transactions you sent yourself from a self-custody wallet.
For Stake.us withdrawals, wait or contact their support to rebroadcast at a higher fee.

Check your wallet or Blockchair for the original fee rate

Must be at least 1 sat/vB higher than original

Step-by-Step: How to Accelerate Your LTC TX
Full walkthrough for Electrum-LTC (GUI method)

1
Confirm your wallet supports RBF
Open Electrum-LTC (download from electrum-ltc.org) and go to Tools → Preferences → Transactions. Make sure “Use Replace-By-Fee” is enabled. If this was not enabled before you sent the transaction, you cannot use RBF — use CPFP instead.

2
Locate the pending transaction
In Electrum-LTC, go to the History tab. Find the unconfirmed transaction (clock icon ⏱). Right-click it and look for Increase Fee or Replace by Fee. If these options are greyed out, the transaction was not marked as RBF-capable when sent.

3
Set the new fee rate
Click Increase Fee. Electrum shows you the current fee rate and asks for a new one. Use the Live Mempool Fees panel above to pick a target — “Fast” is recommended. The new rate must be at least 1 sat/vB higher than the original. The extra fee is deducted from your change output.

4
Sign and broadcast
Review the fee and recipient address carefully. Click Sign, then Broadcast. The old unconfirmed transaction is replaced in the mempool. The TXID will change — this is normal. Track the new TXID using the tool above.

5
Alternative: CPFP (if RBF not available)
If the original TX is not RBF-flagged, use Child-Pays-For-Parent (CPFP): receive the unconfirmed LTC at your address, then send it again with a high enough fee to cover both transactions. In Electrum-LTC, right-click the unconfirmed TX and choose Child pays for parent if available.

Safety Warnings and Best Practices
Read before replacing any transaction

IMPORTANT

Critical: Never replace a transaction if you are unsure about the recipient address. Once a replacement TX is confirmed, the original is invalid and funds may be unrecoverable. This tool generates informational code only — always verify in your actual wallet software.

Verify recipient address
Before broadcasting any replacement transaction, confirm the destination LTC address is exactly correct, character by character. Use address book features or QR codes to avoid typos.

Stake.us withdrawals
Withdrawals from Stake.us are broadcast by their hot wallet — you cannot initiate RBF on those. Contact Stake.us support if your withdrawal is stuck longer than 6 hours.

Do not overbid fees
Litecoin blocks confirm every 2.5 minutes on average and fees are very low. The “Fast” recommended rate is almost always sufficient. 1–5 sat/vB is typically more than enough.
🔑

Self-custody only
RBF and CPFP only work when you control the private keys. If your LTC is held on an exchange or custodial wallet, you cannot replace the transaction yourself.

Wait before acting
Litecoin blocks confirm roughly every 2.5 minutes. During low mempool load, even 1 sat/vB transactions confirm quickly. Wait at least 30–60 minutes before attempting acceleration.

Save the original TXID
After replacement, the TXID changes. Save the new TXID immediately and track it on litecoinspace.org or Blockchair. The old TXID becomes invalid once the replacement confirms.
