BitPay, a major global player in Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency related payment services, has announced that it will be supporting Litecoin (LTC) in their official Wallet App. It is expected that LTC will become available on the platform later this week. The following cryptocurrencies are now supported: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC).
Reportedly, the US-based Newegg.com will become the first merchant to support Litecoin via BitPay. Back in 2014, the company was the first major online retailer to accept Bitcoin for purchases on its platform. As a result, the company has been active in the crypto space for several years, making it familiar territory.
